Fargo also offers workshops, for a modest fee, for both start-up businesses and in-business entrepreneurs. SCORE volunteers are real-world professionals with time-tested knowledge to help small businesses succeed. Our counselors are experts in such areas as accounting, finance, marketing, management and business plan preparation and obtaining business loans.

"Helping Women Business Owners in every community" - SBA's Office of Women's Business Ownership (OWBO) is the only federal government office charged to help women become full partners in economic development through small business ownership. OWBO provides programs to support women entrepreneurs from business start-up to expansion through a variety of services and resources. SBIR North Dakota (Center for Innovation)
The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Office of Technology administers the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Program and the Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) Program. Through these two competitive programs, SBA ensures that the nation's small, high-tech, innovative businesses are a significant part of the federal government's research and development efforts. Eleven federal departments participate in the SBIR program; five departments participate in the STTR program awarding $2billion to small high-tech businesses.
